For the Fresh Eyes 2026 edition, the focus circles back to Central and Eastern Europe—a region shaped by layered histories, bubbling tensions, and a unique sensitivity to ambiguity. In a photographic landscape often rushed toward speed and easy consumption, Untitled was invited to collaborate and bring a deeper, more intuitive perspective to this year's selection.
Through this curatorial partnership, Untitled had the privilege of presenting five exceptional artists whose work moves between form and research, intuition and precision, personal experience and wider cultural tensions: Anna Vanno, Jakub Pavlík, Kristina Shakht, Václav Tvarůžka, Viktoriia Tymonova.
These talents reflect a commitment to openness, vulnerability, and risk. Their practices expand the ways photography can be felt and understood today, offering a compelling and raw outlook on the state of contemporary photography through the eyes of this exciting new generation.
The publication features an in-depth conversation between curator and founder of Untitled Lucie Černá and editor Linda Zhengová. In this conversation, Lucie reflects on her approach to talent, collaboration, the future of publishing, and the importance of building platforms that offer not only visibility but trust, care, and the freedom to grow.
